Digital transformation and knowledge sharing

In the last issue of CECIMO Magazine the topics are the digital transformation and sustainabilityWe are glad to have contributed to the Fall 2022 issue of CECIMO Magazine dedicated to the topic of Sustainable Manufacturing in the Digital Age. The article by Alessandro Liani, Ceo of Video Systems, develops a few topics:Also SMEs can easily embrace the digital transformation thanks to an easy access to knowledgeThe cost of access to technologies is steadily decreasing and this is a great opportunity for SMEs to adopt new technologies in their production processesWe all operate in complex systems, but with the help of integrated technologies such as IoT, AI and robotics we can govern processes and make forecasts based on the analysis of dataIf we can optimize the processes, we can move closer to the Zero-Defect Manufacturing approach; and morevore we can adopt also the Zero Waste Manufacturing approach, that is based on the possibility to give a new life to waste coming from the production processesThe world of production – companies and their managers – will face great challenges in the future in terms of sustainability and social inclusivenessSharing the knowledges will make the difference

It will be the occasion to introduce IMAGO, the comple range of solutions for the glass quality controll developed by the Company.IMAGO, the complete range of solutions by Video Systems for the glass quality controlVideo Systems will present the new catalogue IMAGO, with its 9 high performing solutions developed for a demanding customer who takes in great consideration efficiency, cost-effectiveness and sustainability. All the IMAGO solutions are equipped with AI and IIoT technologies and use special cameras developed according to the needs and requirements of the glass sector; they are also equipped with advanced connectivity technology to grant a remote control of the machines in real time and a reduction of costs. In addition, the ethernet connection of the machines allows the monitoring of the production plant, the collection of production data and the direct connection with the management system for a complete 4.0 production approach.Furthermore, Video Systems can develop tailor made solutions: according to the analysis of customers needs, on the basis of data and production processes we develop models and simulations to provide those tailored solutions that make our customers and its processes unique in the market.Oculus and Vertigo displayed in our standWe are going to display in our stand Oculus and Vertigo, the 2 most successful solutions for the glass quality control. The machines will be at disposal of customers and visitors for demos.OculusOculus is a solution for the detection of cuts and defects on the containers and it is a substitute of the traditional pointing machines. Developed to empower the existing carousel machines on the market, it replaces the traditional pointing solutions with an innovative solution characterized by reduced dimensions. Oculus is completed by MICRO SPOT, the powerful illuminator that issues a light beam that detects he defects also on very heavy bottles. The easy installation and an increasing performance of a rotative empowered with Oculus grants a quick ROI and increases the efficiency and effectiveness in controls.Developed in 2009, today Oculus is the benchmark to upgrade the rotative systems.VertigoVERTIGO is the laboratory contactless quality control systems that monitors:Verticality of the containerCrooked neck deviationLabelling area flatnessContainer roundnessMeasuring and calibrating diametersMeasuring height of containersIt can be used in laboratory or directly on production lines (cold-end) and in the hot-end area for checking. There are many reasons to visit GLASSTEC, we are waiting for you!Book a demo at: sales@videosystems.it
